Tips
- You can tell a peasant (peon) to chop
lumber and directly after tell him to build a lumber mill
or town hall to recieve 100 free lumber.
- Even with fog on the map updates chopped
lumber. EX: you can see where people are chopping without
actually having a unit there.
- Put Skeletons in a transport. After their
magic runs out and their life hits zero, newly produced
units and buildings for all sides will appear in the
transport.
- Don't repeatedly click on units to hear
the funny sayings unless you are really trashing the
competition.
Strategy
Defense:
- Block the entrance to your town with
farms, behind the farms place towers, archers, and
balistas. (I personally use this for secondary towns, not
my main town)
- Towers are valuabe (especially because
they can be repaired).
- Never underestimate the power of a blocked
in tower.
Offense:
- A variety of units helps make an attack
more versatile. I recommend 4-6 heavy units
(ogres/knights), a couple archers, and some artillary
(mages / catapult / dragons).
- Mages and Catapults have been known to
take out towers rather quickly.
- When moving units use the attack button,
this way if they run into trouble on the way, they won't
just walk by and get the crap kicked out of them.
- When going for the big push, for every
group (9) ; use patrol for 6 of them and click on the
area a little offset the enemy troops. Command the
remaining 3 directly.
